If you believe in Hazrat Isa (Jesus) what would you expect from Him? ‘Having faith’ is being discussed in Lesson-Seven : When we accept Hazrat Isa (Jesus), we receive forgiveness of our sins. We have a personal relationship with God. We have peace in our hearts and a complete change takes place in our lives. This transformation in our lives is reflected in all what each one of us does and in how each one of us leads one’s life. We can understand this from the following verses from the Quran and the Bible :

Prophetic Books

Ezekiel 36 : 26 – 27 : I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

Al- Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 119 verse 162 – 165 : I rejoice at Your word, As one who finds great treasure. . . . But I love Your law. Seven times a day I praise You,
Because of Your righteous judgments. Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.

Al-Injeel

John 1 : 12 – 13 : But as many as received Him (Messiah; Word of God or Kalematullah), to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Al-Quran

Surah 40. Ghafir (Mumin) (The Believer, The Forgiver (god)) verse 2 – 3 : Exalted in Power, Full of Knowledge,- Who forgiveth sin, accepteth repentance, is strict in punishment,

God is Omni-potent and He can fulfill all we need. He forgives us our wrongs and accepts us just as we are. But if we do turn to Him we come under judgment, which is very hard.

We need to have the faith that forgetting our salvation we have to be dependent on God’s help. God chose one Holy Person so that He forgive us our sins and grant us eternal life. If you can realize that you are a sinner and that you are unable to receive God’s forgiveness then by putting your faith in Hazrat Isa (Jesus) you can receive God’s forgiveness. Hazrat Isa said that a healthy man does not need a physician, but a sick man does. I have come not for the so called righteous, but I have come to save sinners.

Do you think you are a sinner? If so, Hazrat Isa (Jesus) came to this world to save you. He has forgiven all our past sins and He will help us to resist any temptation to sin in the future.

Al- Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 32 verse 5 : I acknowledged my sin to You (God), And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin.

Al-Injeel

Romans 5 : 8 – 9 : But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Ephesians 2 : 1 – 10 : And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

God helps us to relate to Him personally and He also is pleased to give us all godly gifts.

Prophetic Books

Jeremiah 31 : 33 – 34 : . . . I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

Al-Injeel

Romans 8 : 13 – 15 : For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Hebrews 10 : 12 – 14 : But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, . . . For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

1 John 3 : 4 – 6 : Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him

Hazrat Isa (Jesus) grants us the assurance of living with God in heaven having received in our hearts true peace and eternal life.

Al- Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 4 verse 8 : I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

Al-Injeel

John 6 : 47 : Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

John 14 : 27 : Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Romans 5 : 1 – 2 : Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have[a] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Philippians 4 : 6 – 7 : Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The new love that we have for God because of Hazrat Isa (Jesus) and our longing for life according to His will produce in us hatred towards our past sinful life and also gives us the strength to forsake them.

2 Corinthians 5 : 14 – 18 : For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ,…

Colossians 3 : 9 – 10 : Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

If you can realize that you are a sinner in the light of the learning from the Quran and the Bible discussed in this lesson, that God sent Hazrat Isa (Jesus) into the world to save you from your sin who has completed His work for salvation by sacrificing His own life on the cross as a ransom-price for the salvation please put your trust on Him and accept the redemption from sin and offer the following prayer.

Prayer

“O God, creator of the universe, I come before you in all my hearts devotion and reverence. I bring before you all evil things, shortcomings sins of my past life. I dare to come to you because I know that you love me. I have believed in my heart in your Word and your Spirit and the Isa (Jesus), who has taken upon Him on the cross my punishment for sin and sacrificed his life as the price for my redemption and have resurrected from the dead and is now seating at your right and also intercedes for me.

Now I submit myself before you through Hazrat Isa (Jesus). I believe that you will grant me eternal life and true peace in my heart. Grant me the heart that will hate sin and live in obedience to you. I thank you, God, for hearing my prayer because I pray in the name of Hazrat Isa (Jesus). Amen.”

You have completed all the lessons on ‘The teachings from the Revealed Books through online course’ with a lot of patience.

When we are able to realize God’s wonderful gift and His power, which He Himself has given us our hearts can become restless. Immediately we can ask ourselves for responding to this “what should we do now?” How can we really take God into our hearts by accepting the salvation that He has given us? We will get answer to such questions in Lesson – Six : We must invite the Hazrat Isa (Jesus) into our hearts so that He may become the centre and the Lord of our life. The flowing verses from the Quran and the Bible will help us to understand this:

Prophetic Books

Jeremiah 24 : 7 : Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

Al- Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 13 verse 5 : But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

Al-Injeel

Revelation 3 : 20 : Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Al-Quran

Surah 13. Ar-Ra’d (The Thunder) verses 27 – 29 : . . . But He guideth to Himself those who turn to Him in penitence,- “Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah. for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction. “For those who believe and work righteousness, is (every) blessedness, and a beautiful place of (final) return.”

What is the Good News? God guides the Sinner, who repents. Remember that repentance and faith leads our hearts to rest. We must obey God and the one, whom God sent to be the Savior of our life here and also the life here after, to be the redeemer and mediator – The Hazrat Isa (Jesus) and welcome Him in faith into our hearts. In order to accept Him into our hearts we need pray to God that He may cleanse our hearts and help us to live in repentance and faith.

Once a man decided to climb up the top of a mountain. He took with him all necessary resources or item and also a guide in this journey. He set his goal and started the journey. They continue to climb up the mountain and also take breaks from time to time to take food and drink. At certain point in their journey they realized that they were climbing on the wrong direction as they found themselves facing only dark jungles and very steep hills.

Suddenly they came to a very deep gorge. The guide came to the edge of the gorge to consider it. He located a big piece of stone somewhere in the gorge and he estimated that one can make a jump from on the stone and go to the other side of the gorge. He told the other man of this and they were thinking of using this strategy.

But the man feared that if he could not succeed in making the leap he would fall into the deep gorge and would get killed. He prepared himself for making a leap again and again but he did not have the courage to actually take the leap. In the end the guide tied up himself to the stone and firmly stood up on the soil nearby. Then he stretch out him hand to the man. He asked him to hold his hand firmly and make the jump. Even after this the man was hesitating to have ago. Then the guide looked at him and said, “Sir, this my hand has help many people so long to climb mountains this way and never failed in this. Trust on it and make the jump”

At last he made the jump and it was a successful jump and they both were able to go to the other side. They were able to start their journey towards their destination again.

We too should remember that we are on our journey to climb a high mountain which will lead us to God’s peace and eternal life. We have to watch out whether there works any negligence or anything against our faith in God and His miraculous help in our journey. We must have trust in the mighty hands that were pierced on the cross for our salvation. The mighty hands of God are enough – the hands that have already delivered us – to protect us in our times of troubles. The following verses from the Quran and the Bible bear testimony to this truth.

Prophetic Books

1 Chronicles 22 : 19 : Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God.

Ezekiel 18 : 31 – 32 : Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord GOD. “Therefore turn and live!”

Al- Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 119 verses 145 & 149 : I cry out with my whole heart; Hear me, O LORD! I will keep Your statutes. Hear my voice according to Your loving kindness; O LORD, revive me according to Your justice.

Chapter 28 : 7 : The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.

Al-Injeel

Romans 10 : 10 : For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Hebrews 10 : 22 – 23 : let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Al-Quran

Surah 58. Al-Mujadala (She That Disputeth, The Pleading Woman) verse 22 : . . . For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself. . . .

It is only God, who gives us faith. If He does not give this we cannot have it at all. Even the Quran does not say that one can achieve or have faith by doing some good works. But when one receive Hazrat Isa (Jesus) in his heart in faith God give him the Holy Spirit as a gift. This is what is meant by “has strengthened them by his spirit.”

Surah 64. At-Taghabun (Mutual Disillusion, Haggling) verse 11 : . . . and if any one believes in Allah, ((Allah)) guides his heart (aright): for Allah knows all things.

Surah 4. An-Nisa’ (Women) verse 110 : If any one does evil or wrongs his own soul but afterwards seeks Allah.s forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

It is very clear from these verses that God never turns down anyone who comes to Him in true repentance.

God has finished His work for our salvation. Are we doing our bit? You have your own answer to this question. God has created us with our free-will. You have to decide yourself whether to accept Him or turn away from Him. You yourself will need to make the decision in which way you want to lead your life.

When we accept God’s gift as we believe in Hazrat Isa (Jesus) then what we expect to have from Him? This question is dealt with in Lesson – Seven.

You have now completed Lesson – Six by giving your valuable time. There remains only one lesson now. Before we do that please fill up the annexed Questionnaire and then send it back by clicking Submit button after answering the questions.

We believe you are learning a lot of valuable things for your spiritual life. Now it is you to make your own decision.

We pray to God that He may give you His blessings to make the right decision.

This we will deal with in lesson – Five: the salvation from sin is not by means of cross, but through one heavenly Man, who is (Hazrat Isa Mashee) Jesus Christ, who was anointed by the Holy Spirit and who is called the Word of God incarnated or Kalema-tullah.

Who is (Hazrat Isa Mashee) Jesus Christ in fact? Let us try to find answer to this question from the Quran and the Bible. It is described in both the books that Hazrat Isa is God’s word that is He is Kalema-tullah, who was sent to the world by the Holy Spirit.

It is a matter of great surprise that God did not send any special philosopher or any religious concept or many religious instructions, nor did He enjoyed upon man any ascetic life to be lived by avoiding this world for men’s salvation from the bondage of sin. But He sent only one Man about whom we are discussing this lesson.

Prophetic Books

Isaiah 61: 1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me – To preach good tidings to the poor; . . . . To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

Prophet Isaiah told about the coming of the Messiah (Mashee / Christ) in this verse.

Al- Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 107 verse 20 : He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

God sent the Messiah or His word to heal us from sin, and He delivered us from the chastisement for sin.

Al-Injeel

John 1: 1 & 14 : In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

God’s Word was with Him from throughout eternity. He was able to speak always. He sent His Word in the form of a human being made of flesh and blood in order to save us from our sin.

Al-Quran

Surah 3. Al ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, The House Of ‘Imran) verse 45 : Behold! the angels said: “O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.

Messiah is God’s Word. When we was in the world he was highly honored and he is now sitting nearest to God – According to the Al-Injeel he is at ‘God’s right hand’ (Hebrews 10:12).

Hazrat Gabriel, the Angel came to Mary and announced to her that she love God’s word – the Messiah in her womb. We know that no other Prophet was born of any Virgin. The Angel announced this kind of holy birth of the Messiah – the incarnation of God’s Word as a Man. God had made a promise of the Messiah right after Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden in the Torah (book of Genesis chapter 3 verses 15). God had told that the seed of the woman – He did not tell about the seed of the man here – crush the head of Satan.

When the Word was revealed from God it was not separated from Him. We are discussing here about God’s “Word”, what both the Quran and the Bible identified as Jesus Christ. He is the only mediator through whom God wants to communicate with us. He will never be different or be separated from God as He is part of God.

A man once asked his friend, “What came first, God or His Word?”

The friend replied, “of course, God came first.”

He said “oh! In the beginning God did not have the power of speech and as such He could not speak”!

His friend emphatically replied, “No not so. He was able to speak.”

Of course God was always holy and perfect. So he was not their without speech, that means He was never without His Word. This means that the Messiah, who is God’s Word, was and is always with God.

Many can say that Christians believe in their gods – God, Isa (Jesus) and Mary. Jesus Christ himself has this to say to this – God is only one (Al-Injeel: Mark 12: 29) and Al- Torah too has the same thing to say (Al-Torah; Deuteronomy 6: 4).

Let us try to know what the holy books have to say about the truth that Hazrat Isa Mashee (Jesus Christ) is God’s Word and His Spirit:

Prophetic Books

Micah 3 : 8 : But truly I (Christ) am full of power by the Spirit of the LORD, And of justice and might, To declare to Jacob his transgression, And to Israel his sin.

Al-Injeel

Revelation 19 : 13 : He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Acts 20 : 28 : Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God[c] which He purchased with His own blood.

Here we see that God has purchased his believers. Can God give His blood? It can be understood that God, His Word and His Spirit all together are one God in fact.

Al-Quran

Surah 2. Al-Baqara (The Cow) verse 87 : ….. We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. . . .

In other words God gave Hazrat Isa (Jesus) His Word and guided Him always by His Holy Spirit.

Is Hazrat Isa (Jesus) God’s son? This is an important question. Before we answer this question let us discuss the three types of son discussed in the Quran and the Bible.

Son through physical relationship:

Al-Injeel

John 3: 6 – What is born of man is man.

It is meant here that children of flesh and blood are born of parents of flesh and blood. Hazrar Marium (Mary) was a mother with flesh and blood in whose womb was born Hazrat Isa (Jesus). She was a Godly person and a virgin. That’s how Hazrat Isa too was sinless. What is taught about this in the Quran and the Injeel is :

Al-Quran

Surah 19. Maryam (Mary) verse 19 : He (Angel) said: “Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.

Al-Injeel

Hebrews 4 : 15 : For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Al-Quran

Surah 112. Al-Ikhlas (The Unity, Sincerity, Oneness Of Allah) verses 1 – 3 : Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

Phrase “God’s Son” is not to refer to any physical relationship between the Messiah and God. God has no physical body. Certainly the material body of Messiah is not God’s body.

Symbolic Son:

The word “son” can be used in another meaning according to the actual language of the Quran and the Bible. This is in the sense of “right” – as for example-

Al-Quran

Surah 2. Al-Baqara (The Cow) verses 177 & 215 : It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the Allah.fearing. They ask thee what they should spend (In charity). Say: Whatever ye spend that is good, is for parents and kindred and orphans and those in want and for wayfarers. And whatever ye do that is good, -(Allah) knoweth it well.

“The son of wayfarer” means a traveler, Tourist or stranger.

Al-Injeel

Luke 16 : 8 : So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.

Al- Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 89 verse 22 : The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

We know that in the literal sense or in fact way, light and wickedness do not have any son. The Quran and the Bible have used many symbolic words to help us to understand about God. Some verses are quoted below:

Al-Quran

Surah 36. Ya Sin (Ya-sin) verse 83 : So glory to Him in Whose hands is the dominion of all things: and to Him will ye be all brought back.

Surah 20. Ta Ha (Ta-ha) verse 5 : ((Allah)) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority).

Prophetic Books

2 Chronicles 16 : 9 : For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”

In the above-mentioned verses the words – “hand” “to sit” and “eyes” are used to help us to understand God although we know that God does not have any body.

Spiritual son:

Al-Injeel

John 3 : 6 : That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

In this verse the difference between physical and spiritual son-ship is shown.

Al-Quran

Surah 4. An-Nisa’ (Women) verse 171 : O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not “Trinity” : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

That Hazrat Isa Masihee (Jesus Christ) came to the world as a direct intervention of God is meant here. It can be easily understood from this verse that Hazrat Isa is God’s Word come from very God and at the same time he is also His Spirit – implying that he is the spirit of Him from whom he has come.

As from the human point of view, He was son of Mary, he was also a man.

Al-Injeel

Hebrews 4 : 15 : For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but (Jesus) was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Therefore, it can be understood from the above quoted verses in the Quran and the Bible that God had a Spiritual Son and He and the Son had intimate spiritual relationship.

Prophetic Books

Daniel 3 : 25 : “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

According to this verse Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego of the children of God – the Israelites were unjustly thrown into the furnace as per the king’s command and there was a fourth person with those three in the furnace who protected them. This fourth person is none other than the Messiah who was already there in human form.

Proverbs 30 : 4 : Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? . . . . What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know?

Al- Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 2 verses 7 – 8 : “I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me (Christ), ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You. The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.

Al-Injeel

Matthew 3 : 16 – 17 : When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He[c] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Romans 1 : 3 – 4 : concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, 4 and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

There are many more verses in the Injeel apart from the ones quoted above where Hazrat Isa is shown as God’s Son.

Al-Quran

Surah 21. Al-Anbiya’ (The Prophets) verse 91 : And (remember) her (Mary) who guarded her chastity: We (God) breathed into her of Our (God) spirit, and We made her and her son a sign for all peoples.

Surah 2. Al-Baqara (The Cow) verse 253 : Those apostles We endowed with gifts, some above others: . . . others He raised to degrees (of honour); to Jesus the son of Mary We gave clear (Signs), and strengthened him with the holy spirit. …

From these verses it is understood that Hazrat Isa (Jesus) received altogether distinct and especial gifts from any gifts that all other Prophets received because he had received in all his life God’s Spirit and His miracle performing power.

Surah 27. An-Naml (The Ant, The Ants) verses 8 – 9 : But when he [Hazrat Musa (Moses)] came to the (fire), a voice was heard: “Blessed are those in the fire (Light) and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. “O Moses! verily, I am Allah, the exalted in might, the wise!….

Many hold that God cannot take human form as this would be too mean a thing for Him to do. But this verse says God was in fire (Hazrat Musa saw the burning bush). If God could live in a bush could He also not live in a human person?

Neither the life of Hazrat Isa (Jesus) nor His miraculous activities can save us from our sins. But only His death and resurrection can do that. Many say that Hazrat Isa never died nor He got resurrected from the dead. Rather they believe that He wants back to God straight away and that He will return to the earth.

Surah 43. Az-Zukhruf (Ornaments Of Gold, Luxury) verse 61 : And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment):

Many even believe that when He will come back to the world He will marry and will beget children and He will also reign for 40 years and will die and be buried. He will come out back to life from the grave on the last of judgment.

Following are some questions from the Quran, which give detailed description of the death and the resurrection of the Christ:

Surah 2. Al-Baqara (The Cow) verse 87 : We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of apostles; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you an apostle with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!

Surah 5. Al-Ma’ida (The Table, The Table Spread) verse 117 : . . . and I (Jesus) was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them (mankind); when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.

Surah 19. Maryam (Mary) verses 33 – 34 : “So peace is on me (Jesus) the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)”! Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.

Surah 3. Al ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, The House Of ‘Imran) verse 55 : Behold! Allah said: “O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.

Here the words “up to” mean “until this time” or “of former days”. These mean those events will take place before the last judgment. Till today the followers of the Hazrat Isa (Jesus) have believed this.

But many interpret Surah 4. An-Nisa’ (Women) verse 157 to mean that Hazrat Isa (Jesus) did not die. It is said there – That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, ….

However, we need to discuss the topic of entire Sura An-Nisa before we threadbare discuss any portion of this verse. It can be understood from this Sura that the Jews and the Christians argued against one another. The Jews boastfully said, “We have killed your Prophet Isa! In saying this perhaps they meant to Hazrat Mohammad that they tried to mean that there (the Jews) way was right while the way of the Christians was not right. But Hazrat Muhammad used Sura An-Nisa 157 verse to stop the Jews and told them, “Don’t say that you killed Him; you did not kill Him. That was your illusion that you killed him.” To be sure the Jewish people did not have the right or authority to kill anyone; those who killed Hazrat Isa (Jesus) were the Roman rulers. But the blame of killing Hazrat Isa (Jesus) on the cross was thrown upon the Jews.

Surah 31. Luqman (Luqman) verse 28 : And your creation or your resurrection is in no wise but as an individual soul: for Allah is He Who hears and sees (all things).

According to this verse the resurrection of mankind would be like the one, who has already been resurrected. From this we can understand that one has already died also been resurrected. Who is that one? The scriptures discuss only about the death and resurrection of only Hazrat Isa (Jesus). Now it is easily understood that Hazrat Isa (Jesus) had died and also risen again from the death.

And the claim that the Jews had was not tenable even according to their law. This is because they would give capital punishment to any one only by means of stoning. That would mean that Hazrat Isa (Jesus) would get the status of a martyr, which they never wanted to give Him. So they induced the Roman authority to kill Hazrat Isa (Jesus) according to the Roman way. During those days the Roman way of executing someone was by crucifixion. According to the Jewish law this was done to one, who was cursed by God: “He who is hanged on a tree is cursed by God.” (Al Torah; Deuteronomy 21: 23). As according to the Jews Hazrat Isa (Jesus) was a man cursed by God the Jewish people took recourse to the Roman way.

God surely had the power to save Hazrat Isa (Jeus) from such a death. But He permitted this to happen. This event has some semblance to the victory of the Muslims in the battle of Badr. It is said in the Quran : Surah 8. Al-Anfal (Spoils Of War, Booty) verse 17, “It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah. when thou threwest (a handful of dust), it was not thy act, but Allah’s: in order that He might test the Believers by a gracious trial from Himself: for Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things). In other words God fulfilled His purpose by killing them with the arrows. In the same way God allowed this to happen that the Romans would kill Hazrat Isa (Jesus) by crucifying him and thus pay the ransom price for our redemption from sin through this great sacrifice.

Surah 37. As-Saffat (Those Who Set The Ranks, Drawn Up In Ranks) verse 107 : And We (God) ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice:

Many believe that it is possible to get salvation from sins by means of sacrificing a lamb, or a camel or hundreds of animals. But that was not God’s way. Instead, He wrought our salvation through His very Word.

After the death of Hazrat Isa (Jesus) the Jews leaders duly buried his body and rested assured enough after tightly sealing the tomb. They confided that they were immune from any criticism from their opponents, from any self-stigma or any kind of fear of being exposed before the public for the bloody act that they committed. But this satisfaction did not last long.

Surah 4. An-Nisa’ (Women) verse 158 : Nay, Allah raised him (Hazrat Isa) up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;-

The main thesis of our discussion was “how could we receive pardon for our sins?” For the answer to this we need to concentrate our thoughts not on what we could do for this, but on what God has done in Hazrat Isa (Jesus) for this. It would be easier for us to understand this matter from the following verses from the Quran and the Bible :

Prophetic Books

Isaiah 63 : 4 – 5 : For the day of vengeance is in My heart, And the year of My redeemed has come. I looked, but there was no one to help, And I wondered That there was no one to uphold; Therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me; And My own fury, it sustained Me.

Ezekiel 36 : 25 – 26 : Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Isaiah 53 : 12 : Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

Al- Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 106 verse 8 : Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake, That He might make His mighty power known.

Chapter 41 verse 4 : I said, “LORD, be merciful to me; Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.”

Chapter 103 verses 2 – 4 : Bless the LORD, O my soul, . . . Who forgives all your iniquities, . . . Who redeems your life from destruction,

Al-Injeel

Hebrews 9 : 22 : And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

1 Timothy 2 : 5 – 6 : For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all. . . .

1 Corinthians 15 : 3 – 4 : For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

Hebrews 2 : 3 : how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

Luke 9 : 25 : For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?

Al-Quran

Surah 6. Al-An’am (Cattle, Livestock) verse 12 : Say: “To Allah. He hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy.

Surah 11. Hud (Hud) verse 43 : Noah said: “This day nothing can save, from the command of Allah, any but those on whom He hath mercy!

Surah 23. Al-Muminun (The Believers) verse 109 : “A part of My servants there was, who used to pray ‘our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!”

God in His grace let His Word, His Spirit die for our sake. What was His great mercy in this final sacrifice?

Surah 22. Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) verses 36 – 37 : The sacrificial camels we have made for you as among the symbols from Allah. . . . It is not their meat nor their blood, that reaches Allah. it is your piety that reaches Him: He has thus made them subject to you, that ye may glorify Allah for His Guidance to you and proclaim the good news to all who do right.

Hazrat Isa (Jesus) took himself the place of the sacrifice that was there according to the ancient law or practice. Many people still today carry on that obsolete animal sacrifice. In olden days people used to sacrifice / slaughter animals for cleansing their hearts. But man cannot receive forgiveness for his sin by sacrificing any animal. Some people even want to present their good works as a “sacrifice”. But there is no value of any of these in God’s eye for salvation. He wants our devotion and obedience. What is then true devotion? God wants us that we submit ourselves to His will. And His will is that we put our trust in what He has done for our salvation. In one word we need to accept His free gift of salvation.

In word “devotion” means loving God and accepting what He has done for our salvation. We will be able to receive His righteousness in our lives if we believe in the truth that the Hazrat Isa (Jesus) sacrificially died on the cross according to God’s plan and will.

If we acknowledge and also believe in our hearts the significance of what God has done for our lives then we will also need to learn what would be our next step. This is discussed in Lesson – Six and it is ‘Taking God in our lives.’ Before we do that please fill up the annexed Questionnaire and then send it back by clicking Submit button after answering the questions.

You have successfully completed lesson-Five. We believe you have followed this lesson attentively. If you think that you have not clearly understood any point please write that on to us about. We will do our best to help you, in turn, to get that cleared.

We hope that you will patiently be with us in studying the next lesson. No effort at learning about God and gaining wisdom from the holy books will be without any good result. Amen.

Now in lesson – 4 we are discussing the important thing about our life: God has given a solution in the dilemma of life.

We need to put trust on God in everything. Everything in the world is before Him. He knows and sees all things. When we are faced with any impossible situation only He is there to make things possible for us.

God has created the universe only for supreme purpose, which is that He wants to have communion with mankind – that part of creation only who bears His image. He did not forsake us even when are sinners because of our descent from Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Eve and as much we were in the dark domain of sin. Rather when we were in sin and could not deliver ourselves from sins, He, according to his plan, completed His work of salvation for us. God himself has done for us what we would not be able to do ourselves. This truth has been written about in many portions of the Quran and the Bible. In brief this truth is that He has dealt with the problem of sin by mean of a great sacrifice.

Prophetic Books

Isaiah 19:20 : for they will cry to the LORD because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them.

Al-Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 49 verses 7-9 : None of them can by any means redeem his brother, Nor give to God a ransom for him— For the redemption of their souls is costly, And it shall cease forever— That he should continue to live eternally, And not see the Pit.

There is nothing in this world for anyone to pay for his or her sin. Salvation is so great a thing that no man can achieve it.

Al-Injeel

Romans 3 : 20 : Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Ephesians 2 : 8-9 : For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Al-Quran

Surah 37. As-Saffat (Those Who Set The Ranks, Drawn Up In Ranks) 107 verse : And We (Allah) ransomed him (Abraham) with a momentous sacrifice:

In the Arabic language the word ‘great’ means something, which has no limited value or price. Therefore we cannot save ourselves from our sins because of our uncountable limitations. So man look to God to achieve salvation because He is the only God, who made the great or supreme sacrifice as the way of salvation of man from sin.

A story would make this subject clearer. The story is something like this:

An employee of a company was brought before the court for stealing money from that company. During the normal process of judgment for arriving at the verdict the Judge came to realize that the accused parson was his friend during his young days. At this the Judge found himself in a dilemma. So he was thinking how he could avoid giving his friend – the accused man the punishment that would be due for the crime. On the other hand he was also thinking that he must not do anything unjust to the company because the complaint against his friend was true.

After a considerable amount of thinking he decided that he would pay back the amount of money that the accused man had embezzled from the company from his own pocket. He did as he decided. The company representative happily left the court on receiving the money. On the other hand the accused man was released and as a result of this he lived a life of gratefulness to his friend – the Judge.

In the same manner all of us deserve punishment for our sin. But God in His mercy paid the price for our sins on the cross through a great sacrifice. God is just as kind as He is just. Al-Injeel – Romans 3: 26 says, “to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”

It is very important for us to know the significance of the Cross. The basic idea is to pay a price for someone else’s wrong doing. It is like paying the ransom-price for freeing a slave. Man became slave to Sin. The Cross of Christ is like the ransom-price which paid for making us free from the bondage of Sin. From the verses of the Quran and Bible given below it can be seen that God had made a plan for paying a great price in exchange of our release or freedom from Sins.

Al-Torah

Genesis 22: 13 : Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

Exodus 12 : 13 : Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

Just in the same way God chose the blood of a lamb without blemish to deliver the children of Israel from the destruction and death in Egypt, as like He had planned to save us from our punishment of eternal death in hell through the blood of the sinless Christ.

Leviticus 17: 11 : For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’

God required the full price to be paid in term of the innocent blood for our sin. In the beginning God sacrificed an animal and thereby He hid the sin of Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Eve and hid their nakedness with skin of the animal sacrificed (Al-Torah; Genesis 3: 21).

Prophetic Books

Isaiah 63 : 8 : For He said, “Surely they are My people, Children who will not lie.” So He became their Savior.

From this we can understand that God Himself is the redeemer of His people.

Al-Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 34 : 22 : The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

Chapter 31 : 5 : Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

Chapter 56 : 13 : For You have delivered my soul from death. Have You not kept my feet from falling, That I may walk before God. In the light of the living?

We see that it is said in Al-Zabur 34: 22 that God would deliver us from our guilt or sins. This is to mean that God himself could free and deliver from our sin (Al-Zabur 31: 5 and 56: 13). It implies that we cannot save ourselves from sins by our efforts in doing good deeds. But God has shown us through His own word of saving us that we need to turn to the way of life after being released from the power of sin.

Chapter 107 : 6-7 : Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right way, That they might go to a city for a dwelling place.

There are many people in the world who pray to God a few times daily that He might lead them on to the right path. And the books teach us that we must trust in God only for our forgiveness of sin or salvation, and not on our own work.

Al-Injeel

Matthew 26 : 28 : For this is My (Jesus Christ) blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Romans 3 : 23 – 25 : for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,

In the Injeel– Matthew 26:28 Hazrat Isa Mashi (Jesus Christ) himself explained and taught that innocent blood is required for the forgiveness of sin. In Romans 3:23-25 more emphasis is given on this truth and it is said that we are all sinners and are in need of forgiveness for our sins and this forgiveness can be received through Christ, but not in exchange of any good work. How greatly is God kind and forgiving that through the great sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ granted us the pardon for our sin! Therefore there is no need of any price to be paid for our sin since Christ has paid this.

Al-Quran

Surah 28. Al-Qasas (The Story, Stories) 16 : He (Hazrat Musa) prayed: “O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul! Do Thou then forgive me!” So ((Allah)) forgave him: for He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Many think that the Prophets did not have any sin; e.g. Hazrat Musa (Moses), Hazrat Daud (David) etc. But it can be understood from the above Quranic verse that all the Prophets need to receive salvation from sin.

Surah 2. Al-Baqara (The Cow) 38 verse : We (Allah) said: “Get ye down all (Adam & Eve) from here; and if, as is sure, there comes to you Guidance from me, whosoever follows My guidance, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

Even after their sin Hazrat Adam and Eve sought God’s help He granted them guidance for their lives. It is implied that God Himself was their savior. They did not depend on any of their work for their salvation.

Surah 4. An-Nisa’ (Women) 110 verse: If any one does evil or wrongs his own soul but afterwards seeks Allah’s forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Generally some people believe that the merit of their good work undo the effects of their bad works making their way clear to heaven in God’s mercy. But it is said in the above mentioned verse that they must repent for their bad works and will have to pray to God for forgiveness.

Surah 6. Al-An’am (Cattle, Livestock) 69 – 70 verses : On their account no responsibility falls on the righteous, but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may (learn to) fear Allah. Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah. if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting Allah.

According to the above verse we ourselves will have to come to God for forgiveness. Even after we receive forgiveness we have to live carefully so that we do not fall into the same sins as before.

From this lesson certainly you have been able to understand that you are a sinner. And God has made plan for you to be saved by means of a great sacrifice. For God also loves you. He wants that all of us will be there in front of Him in heaven for His glory. He created us as the crown of His creation. He does not want that anyone of us is perished in hell.

Do you also want to get saved? If are really eager to then please ask God and He will show you the right way.

In the next lesson we will discuss “only one parson is God’s way.” Before we do that please fill up the annexed Questionnaire and then send it back by clicking Submit button after answering the questions.

Meantime thank you for completing lesson – Four. We believe that you will be with us patiently doing the next lesson. Certainly the valuable time that you have used to learn about God that will became blessed to you. Amen.

When the problem of sin haunts our lives can we really do anything to be able to come out of the trap of sin? In fact it is seen that our own effort cannot help in this.

We must turn to God’s help and solution in this. In Lesson-Three we can learn about this in details. The truth is that “we are unable to Dave ourselves from the dilema of sin and death.” We cannot save ourselves from sins by means of any good work just as one cannot expect sweet water from the spring of bitter water. Many think that ‘good work’ or ‘good life’ can save us from sin. There are many verses in both the Quran and the Bible on the teaching about ‘salvation by good work.’ which do not confirm with one another.

Prophetic Books

Proverbs 14 : 12 : There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

Al-Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 125 verse 5 : As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, The LORD shall lead them away. With the workers of iniquity.

Al-Injeel

Titus 3 : 4-5 : But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Al- Quran

Surah 6. Al-An’am (Cattle, Livestock) 70 verse: Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world.

People usually want to neutralize their sinful actions by doing good works. Her good works include observing religious laws, philanthropic works, serving the people, etc. By doing these they would try to cover their bad deeds or sinful activities. But people do not consider that truth that even though they are sinners it is only ‘righteousness’, which can help them turn away from unholy life. However, one needs to remember that this ‘righteousness’ of one’s own is not good to achieve him holiness. Prophetic books: Isaiah 64: 6 “But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.”

Once a man became very hopeless and remorseful for sinful life and he decided to get some advices from his friend, who was a righteous man. He came to his friend and told him about his guilt feeling, hopelessness and fear and that all these experiences were haunting his life every moment. He asked his friend about how to be free from such torment and about what to do for attaining peace and happiness in his mind.

Before answering him, his friend ordered his servant to bring his tired visiting friend a glass of water. The servant brought the water. But he immediately took the glass before the visiting friend could drink and put a few drops of ink into the water. The water in the glass instantly turned black. The visiting friend said, “What have you done?”

The host replied, “I am just giving a response to your queries”. He said further, “you could not drink the water because I have spoilt it by giving in it a few drops of ink. But you wish that your good works are accepted before true and holy God even after you’ve tarnished your heart and mind by sins.

The other man understood this teaching and immediately turned to God and prayed that God might grant him forgiveness for his sins. He realized that the punishment for sin was severe. And he then started to look for the Good News of salvation from sin.

We know that no good work of a sinner is acceptable before God. Man cannot please God by any good work. But he has to trust on God and on what He has asked him to do. To be humble before God and live in allegiance to Him will be an important step. Let us now we look into what the Quran and The Bible say about the solution to the sin issue.

Al-Torah

Genesis 15 :6 : And he (Abraham) believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

Prophetic Books

2 Chronicles 20 : 20 : … Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.

Habakkuk 2 : 4 : But the (Righteous person) just shall live by his faith.

Al-Zabur (Psalm)

Chapter 13 verse 5 : But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

Chapter 32 verse 1 : Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.

Chapter 85 verse 7-9 : Show us Your mercy, LORD, And grant us Your salvation. …. Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, That glory may dwell in our land.

Al-Injeel

Romans 14 : 23 : for whatever is not from faith is sin.

Ephesians 2 : 8 – 9 : For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Hebrews 11 : 6 : But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Al- Quran

Surah 23. Al-Muminun (The Believers) 109 verse: “A part of My servants there was, who used to pray ‘our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!”

The main teaching from Sura Muminum 109 verse is that there were some people, who had understood that they must submit themselves before Gods grace. This is because it is not enough to depend on one’s own work to receive God’s grace. For this it is further told in Sura An’am 54 verse: When those come to thee who believe in Our signs, Say: “Peace be on you: Your Lord hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) mercy: verily, if any of you did evil in ignorance, and thereafter repented, and amend (his conduct), lo! He is Oft- forgiving, Most Merciful.

Therefore, we need to remember that according to the teaching from the aforementioned verses one can receive pardon by having faith in God and in His mercy or grace.

Surah 47. Muhammad (Muhammad) 19 verse: Know, therefore, that there is no god but Allah, and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and for the men and women who believe: for Allah knows how ye move about and how ye dwell in your homes.

It is clear from this Quranic verse that none will be immune from the need of forgiveness. Not even the Prophets or God’s messengers.

Surah 2. Al-Baqara (The Cow) 256 – 257 verses: Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever).

We can also understand from the verses quoted above that nobody could be forced to come before God. We ourselves on our own have to take the decision as to whether we will follow God’s way or not? He who resolves to have faith in God is one who has vowed to ‘hold the handle tight.’ God Himself is our redeemer- and the redemption is not due to any good work done on our part. God himself is your and my savior. He brings us out of darkness in His wonderful light.

Surah 3. Al ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, The House Of ‘Imran) 193 verse : “Our Lord! we have heard the call of one calling (Us) to Faith, ‘Believe ye in the Lord,’ and we have believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot out from us our iniquities, and take to Thyself our souls in the company of the righteous.

It is very clearly said in this verse, “we can receive pardon for our sins – both past and present- through faith.” If you are asked the question, how many times have you tires to change your sinful life or leave one of your bad habits? We know that you and I myself are all sinners. But many sinners have received God’s pardon for their sins because of His grace and interference in their lives. Do you like to be one such parson?

In the next lesson we will discuss the issue- “How to receive forgiveness.” Before we do that please fill up the annexed Questionnaire and then send it back by clicking Submit button after answering the questions. So far you have successfully completed Lesson-Three. We believe that you have been able to learn many things, which have enriched your spiritual life. May God bless you richly to follow His Word. Amen.
